Occam's Pillow

It is fun to hear parents interpret the sounds made by their non-verbal children. Around Halloween, our lovely neighbor looks at our pumpkins and announces "bah". Fair enough - as pumpkins go, they aren't anything to write home about. Her mother however translates "pumpkins are bumpy". Hmm.

The other day, Vivian sternly repeats "ala ... da".
Translation: "Allah is great. If you name my teddy bear Mohamed, I will stone you to death".
